We are making a documentary series about the diverse collectors of vintage t-shirts in Mexico to document the history of Mexican apparel, more specifically, the Silk-creen printing on t-shirts made in Mexico and other countries, and their impact on Mexican society both in the casual consumer and the avid collector. By doing this work we are not only telling stories through t-shirts from different perspectives, but also rescuing and documenting designs that were previously unknown to the public eye. And thus providing them the place they deserve as a symbol of the history and identity of Mexican culture. Due to the nature of the work, a professional production is required, in addition to this, professional video crew will be hired for the realization of the mini-series. It will be filmed in analog DV and Super 8 video format. Plus the coverage of expenses from the production team to move to the different cities where the collectors and artists are located. That is why we ask for the support of the inside and outside the vintage community to help us achieve the fundraising goal and be able to continue telling the enigmatic story of t-shirts made in Mexico, the artists behind and the collectors who preserve this art. The mini-series will premiere in mid-December 2022, whether or not the fundraising goal is reached. This project is NON-PROFIT, and no income will be received from this fundraiser.
